You can start like this:

  • A specific problem or use case
  • Current Production Data
  • Limited in-house expertise in the field of artificial intelligence

The goal is to make artificial intelligence accessible, not complicated. However, it depends on the specific context (use case).

The best way to answer this question would therefore be to meet informally with one of our partners over a cup of coffee.

Technology providers can use the AI-MATTERS platform to:

  • Testing the solution using real production data
  • Verify performance for end users
  • Increase the level of maturity (e.g., advancement within the TRL)
  • Obtain results confirming feasibility

This helps customers recognize the product’s benefits and accelerates its market adoption.

The duration of services depends on the specific service and can range from a few hours to several months.

You can view our services in the service catalog on our website, but you cannot make a reservation for them.

Given the complexity of the technologies and specific use cases, we believe that every inquiry, every technology, and every specific use case deserves our full attention. So if you’re interested in any of our services or would like to explore the options we offer, please don’t hesitate to contact us via our contact page.

Investments and Contracts

What kind of investment does the AI-MATTERS service require?

Given the wide range of services, providers (partners), and durations, there is no single answer. Furthermore, depending on the type of service, its price, duration, and the company’s fulfillment of the conditions, entities may receive financial support in the form of a discount.

If your company is interested in any of our services or would like to discuss your needs with AI, we would be happy to schedule a no-obligation consultation with you through our contact page.

The success of services depends on how we define success at the time we launch a given service. AI-MATTERS provides testing and experimental services that help companies validate, improve, and implement artificial intelligence and robotics solutions in real-world manufacturing environments.

Companies regularly turn to us to verify whether a particular artificial intelligence technology will work in their environment, whether it can be scaled, or whether it can be validated in a production environment. Success may lie either in further investment in the AI technology in question for the purpose of its implementation and expansion, or in the realization that the technology has not been validated and the decision to refrain from further investment.

When discussing a particular service, we also consider how its success is defined.

We are proud to say that, to date, all of our clients have achieved successful results and are very satisfied with them.

Places and Travel

Where are AI-MATTERS' facilities located?

AI-MATTERS operates a network of testing and experimental facilities in eight European countries, including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, the Czech Republic, and Greece.

These devices (also known as “nodes”) provide access to real-world production environments where companies can test and validate AI-based solutions.

Usually not; many services can be provided partially remotely, especially when it comes to data analysis or early-stage experiments. However, for testing in real production environments or when using specific infrastructure, on-site collaboration at one of the European facilities may be necessary.

Since the AI-MATTERS network spans numerous countries across Europe, there is often a branch located near your region or within easy reach. In addition, the network connects a number of partners, allowing companies to benefit from shared expertise across different locations, rather than just from a single branch.

Yes. AI-MATTERS is a decentralized European network in which companies are matched with the most suitable facility based on their specific application, technology, and industry.

You don’t have to choose a location yourself: the consortium will help you identify the most suitable node and technical infrastructure for your project. These facilities (also known as “nodes”) provide access to real-world production environments where companies can test and validate artificial intelligence solutions.

Administration and Management

How is the AI-MATTERS project organized?

AI-MATTERS is a network of seven nodes and one satellite node —spanning a total of eight countries—whose goal is to increase the resilience and flexibility of the European manufacturing sector by implementing the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and robotics, as well as intelligent and autonomous systems for flexible manufacturing.

AI-MATTERS is one of four sector-specific TEFs launched under the “Digital Europe” program. All consortium members contribute their expertise in manufacturing for various sectors, such as the automotive industry, the aerospace industry and mobility, the textile industry, recycling, and more.

The AI-MATTERS governance structure consists of the following bodies:

  • General Assembly (GA; referred to as the Program Steering Committee in the consortium agreement)
  • Executive Board
  • National Co-financing Committee (NCFC)
  • Advisory Board (AB)
  • Ethics and Compliance Review Committee (ESCC) and Evaluation and Quality Assurance Committee (EQAC)
  • Committees Focused on Specific Work Packages
