AI-MATTERS
State-of-the-art reference network of test and experimentation facilities for the manufacturing sector
AI-Matters aims to support the introduction of artificial intelligence in the European manufacturing industry. It brings together a consortium of 24 major organisations from eight European countries (Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain) to create a state-of-the-art reference network of test and experimentation facilities (TEF) for the manufacturing sector.
The main objective of AI-Matters is to strengthen Europe’s position and leadership in the deployment of artificial intelligence systems. By introducing robotics and other advanced technologies into real-world environments and on a large scale, the consortium aims to achieve a significant transformation of the EU’s manufacturing system.
The network, with a total budget of €60 million, is co-funded by the European Commission under the Digital Europe programme and national and regional resources.
Within the Czech Republic, a budget of CZK 200 million is earmarked for the support and provision of services, especially to small and medium-sized enterprises. Half of the funds are provided by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic from the National Recovery Plan.
It offers more than 250 test and experimentation services to technology providers, system integrators and manufacturing companies. These services are divided into four areas: the Circular Economy/Circular Economy, Factory Level Optimisation, Human-Robot Interaction and Other New and Enabling Technologies.
