MSV Brno 2025 – International Engineering Fair

The International Engineering Fair in Brno is the most important industrial fair in Central Europe. It focuses on key areas of the engineering and electrical engineering industries.
Every year, it attracts thousands of experts – almost 80% of whom influence investment decisions in their companies, and a third of whom are top managers. MSV connects technology, business, and people – in addition to cutting-edge exhibitions, it offers a rich accompanying program consisting of professional conferences, seminars, and workshops.

For the forth time, RICAIP Testbed Prague is joining the joint exhibition of the National Centre for Industry 4.0 and its key partners, under the name “United by Innovation”, at the International Engineering Fair in Brno – MSV Brno 2025! We have prepared a range of technology demonstrations, innovations, and industry-focused solutions using artificial intelligence increase the flexibility, efficiency, and sustainability of manufacturing processes. Our showcase will feature a wide array of technological advancements and opportunities that help manufacturing companies thrive in the digital age.

Why International Industrial Fair and why a shared booth with other partners?

Collaboration is key to overcoming complex challenges. By connecting with a network of partners, we bring new benefits to our clients, creating a rich ecosystem of expertise and knowledge. This message is something we aim to convey through several dozen square meters of our booth at International Industrial Fair. Together, we offer innovative solutions that surpass the capabilities of individual partners, technology suppliers, and equipment providers. Our customers gain a clear vision of how to tackle their challenges, which may vary in complexity. At the end of this journey lies the tangible advantage of implementing innovations, improving processes, or taking a significant step forward in digitalization.

RICAIP Testbed Prague, a state-of-the-art facility for research, development, and testing of industrial solutions at CIIRC CTU in Prague, brings the latest technologies in artificial intelligence, digital twins, and 5G networks to Czech industry.

RICAIP Testbed Prague contributes to the overall concept of the joint stand “United by Innovation” with the specific theme AI Technologies for Smart and Sustainable Innovation”. It connects the world of academic research with the needs of industrial practice, from flexible manufacturing to efficient intralogistics.

We focus on practical demonstrations of how cutting-edge technologies using artificial intelligence increase the flexibility, efficiency, and sustainability of production processes.

In addition, these technologies are more accessible to Czech companies thanks to projects and networks such as RICAIP, AI-MATTERS/TEF, EDIH CTU, and AIRISE.

Companies gain access to cutting-edge expertise and infrastructure at the European level, at very favourable conditions or completely free of charge.

“The exhibition within Digital Factory 2.0 does not focus on the technologies only, but especially shows how to concretely use AI, robotics, and 5G for company growth and sustainable production. We want visitors to leave with practical inspiration and a clear idea of how to implement these technologies in their operations.”
Pavel Burget, Director of the RICAIP Testbed Prague, CIIRC CTU

What have we prepared for our joint stand with the National Center for Industry 4.0 and other partners? Everything can be summed up in four words: trends, innovation, sustainability, accessibility.

  • TRENDS: We are transferring AI and tech trends into manufacturing practice. At the stand, you will see demonstrations of digital twins, artificial intelligence, and 3D scanning for rapid adaptation of robotic handling, automation, and autonomous production control.
  • INNOVATION: Our comprehensive professional solutions are the engine of innovation, connecting technologies and approaches into a single scalable whole (AI, robotics, sensors, machine vision, data platforms, localization using 5G networks, etc.).
  • SUSTAINABILITY: By optimizing production, we ensure energy sustainability and cost savings. You will see real-time energy consumption monitoring right at the stand. We will show you examples of savings in practice – from production lines to automated beer taps.
  • ACCESSIBILITY: We make cutting-edge technologies available to companies of all sizes and technological maturity. We will introduce you to examples of how even small and medium-sized enterprises benefit from modern technologies thanks to subsidy schemes such as EDIH CTU or TEF/AI-MATTERS. This opens up a wide range of opportunities for businesses, which gain access to infrastructure, expertise, and tailor-made services, all on the platform and technological “playground” of the RICAIP Testbed Prague.

Innovation Zone

Complex Innovation Consultancy

Experts will advise on how to implement innovations, finance them, and adapt them to the specific needs of a company. CIIRC CTU team will be ready to consult specific company requirements for the development and testing of new solutions and the introduction of AI into production – thanks to dozens of projects already carried out within the EDIH CTU, AI-MATTERS/TEF, or AIRISE platforms and networks.

Tech Zone

Focus on AI, digital twins, and 5G networks

From RICAIP Testbed Prague, we have prepared a demonstration of flexible production control in cooperation with T-Mobile and their T-Process Platform system, and an advanced demonstration of collaborative robotics. Visitors will also see the use of the most advanced AI methods for automatic reconstruction of objects in the industrial metaverse and robotic manipulation

Energy Zone

Energy and water consumption measurement

The future of manufacturing is smart and sustainable – and data is the key. Effective data collection and processing for automation and production optimization is a topic that CIIRC CTU teams have been working on for a long time from various aspects of production. In the Energy Zone of the RICAIP Testbed at MSV 2025, we will show how smart measurement and analysis of energy and water consumption can make operations more efficient and environmentally friendly. Visitors will be able to see this for themselves thanks to a compact modular 5G IIoT system that integrates real-time energy consumption data across the entire exhibition, as well as Narrowband (NB) IoT technology. This technology is suitable for battery operation and will be presented at the stand using the example of an ultrasonic flow meter for measuring water consumption.
Data is transmitted via a 5G SA private campus network, including continuous monitoring of 5G signal quality. All this in real time, right at the stand.

Particular RICAIP Demonstrators

Robotic Cell for Flexible Production

At our stand, we will demonstrate how production can respond flexibly to changing conditions – in our case, on a scaled-down model of an autonomous modular factory represented by two KUKA collaborative robots. This is a clear demonstration of the main principles of modern, flexible, and sustainable production. The robotic cell automatically adapts to the type of module according to the manufacturer’s “recipe,” which contains all the necessary steps and tools. Thanks to dynamic smart planning using AI, sequences of tasks are generated automatically, without the need to reprogram the robots. This approach saves time and money and paves the way for more easily reconfigurable manufacturing processes. The solution is also integrated into T-Mobile’s T-Process Platform, enabling its practical use in industry.

Robotic Tap System

The robotic tap is a traditional and indispensable part of the stand. It is no coincidence that this year it will be located in the Energy Zone, because it is not only a technological gadget, but also a comprehensive solution that will demonstrate full automation in practice and will also serve to collect data for effective operation management. In this case, data on energy consumption, but also on temperature, flow rate, and the amount of beer dispensed.
Our robotic beer tap is fully prepared for continuous unattended operation. Anytime, anywhere. It can tap four beers at once and is equipped with AI that allows it to adapt to its surroundings and optimize energy consumption. Thanks to feedback from sensors, it can actively adapt the movements of the robot that taps the beer. Advanced data analytics intelligently control cooling and prevent malfunctions. This tap represents a cutting-edge solution for sustainable and smart management using the latest technologies.
